Main tasks and responsibility
We are currently seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team and play a vital role in our development of automation. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our networks to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency. Your technical skills and knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching will be essential to help us achieve our goals of automation and efficiency.
As our Network Technician, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with a talented team of IT professionals who are dedicated to provide the highest level of service and support.
- Develop and maintain our networks to ensure they are operating at maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Collaborate and take on a key role in projects with other departments to identify areas for automation and implement solutions to streamline processes.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in wireless networking and automation.
Our network infrastructure consists of mainly Cisco hardware for wireless, routing, switching and firewalls. In addition to traditional CLI we use Cisco DNAC, ISE (Identity Services Engine), and FMC (Firepower Management Center) to manage updates, configuration, and features. Monitoring and IP-address management is done through Solarwinds Orion.
We also work with IIoT such as LoRa-Wan, NB-IOT, MQTT. Also, more traditional automation direct control systems (ABB 800xA) where we follow a variety of industry protocols. Further we are working within Data & Analytics both in cloud, Azure tools, and on-prem.

- A degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience in managing wireless networks
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching
- Proficiency in network security and monitoring tools
- Agile working methods and excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies
